The Little Sisters assembled in the foyer to greet the Archbishop as he pulled into the parking lot.
After the greeting, it was time for the feast of St. Joseph Mass. The chapel was filled with song and reverence as the archbishop presided over the Mass.
“It was a beautiful Mass,” said Margaret Geiser, one of the Resident’s in attendance.
Following the Mass, the archbishop spent some time at our home, visiting the sick and infirm with Mother Francis, then joining the Residents for a special St. Joseph’s Day Feast in our auditorium. The menu of chicken, swiss cheese mashed potatoes, and ice cream with strawberries was enjoyed by all!
After lunch was served, the archbishop spent some time going table to table, visiting and greeting the Residents. It was kind of him to spend some time with each table and talk with the Residents, who were so happy to have him at our home.
Many thanks to Archbishop Schnurr for helping us celebrate the Feast of St. Joseph at our home!
