CINCINNATI – Members of the University of Cincinnati women’s basketball team visited Little Sisters of the Poor – St. Paul’s Home Wednesday evening to help spread some holiday cheer.
Team members and the residents bonded over refreshments and holiday treats before they participated in a dance party. The festive atmosphere included Santa hats, reindeer antlers, and holiday music. The night offered a great opportunity for everyone involved to get into the holiday spirit.
Wednesday marked the second time the Bearcats have visited Little Sisters of the Poor – St. Paul’s Home in the past three months after participating in Bingo Night with the residents on Sept. 10.
St. Paul’s Home, located just minutes from UC’s Clifton campus, is a loving place where Sisters, Residents, staff and all who share in the mission of the Little Sisters of the Poor form a close-knit family. The family spirit exists from a “joyful hospitality” embracing all with open arms, hearts and minds. The Little Sisters of the Poor are an international congregation of Roman Catholic women religious founded in 1839 by Saint Jeanne Jugan. Together with a diverse network of collaborators, we serve the elderly poor in over 30 countries around the world.
