This year’s Feast of the Sacred Heart was especially meaningful with the dedication and blessing of a new site for the Home’s Sacred Heart Statue. The site was constructed by Tom Roth as an Eagle Scout Service Project. After the dedication, residents, family and friends gathered inside and outside for an ice cream social.
In addition to the Feast of the Sacred Heart which typically falls in June, the month of June is traditionally dedicated to foster devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The Sacred Heart represents Christ’s love for all mankind, and our devotion to it is an expression of our faith in His mercy.
