Tis the season to be doggie! We welcomed many canines into our home over the past weekend for our annual Dog Fashion Show. This blessing was brought to us yet again by our friend Becky who owns many sheltie pups. I would start off with thanking her for the wonderful experience again this year!
What does a dog fashion show entail? Well, we have four rounds of “dress-up” for each dog in the show. In the first round our pups walked down the aisle in some kind of summer attire. This included many tank tops and summer dresses. Following up, they came strolling in with pajamas on for some bedtime snoozing. With the end of round two, all the doggies took a break while we were entertained with some hoop jumping and training from Becky’s shelties. After a short break, the dogs were back in action for a football themed cheer zone. Each dog came running out for a lap around the room with the female cheerleaders chasing the male football players!
We ended the show with the fun of a costume round. Each dog came out in some sort of Halloween costume. There were princesses, cops, cowboys, chickens, and many other exotic choices. At the end, the dogs and owners took a bow for the crowd.
Here at our home, we LOVE animals. Our own pup, Misty joined the “dogwalk” to represent the home in the show. We hope to keep the tradition going in the coming years. And please feel welcomed to bring your dog to the next show. A new dog is always a favorite among the crowd!
