National Nursing Home Week was May 13-19. The theme we picked this year was “These are a few of my favorite Things!” Our goal was to jam pack the week full of our Residents favorite activities! So, Monday, we played Wii bowling til our hearts were content, had our favorite afternoon drink of a frosty root beer float, and finished the night with a concert from the St. Therese Brass.
Tuesday we raced horses, enjoyed the musical stylings of Teresa’s flute in Music with Teresa, and then are dinner together while watching War Horse at our dinner and a movie night.
Wednesday we loaded up the bus and went out to Graeter’s for some of Cincinnati’s best ice cream.
Thursday we got our the poker cards to play Double-the-Pay Jumbo Poker with lots of deuces wild cards.
Friday we brought in fish sandwiches and big boys from Frisch’s for lunch.
And to finish off the week, Saturday we got our the big bucks for our Big Bucks Bingo!
