Residents, friends, volunteers and staff make St. Patrick’s Day a two-week celebration at St. Paul’s Home.
The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick Glee Club launched this year’s festivities. Musical Director, Damon Sink, declares St. Paul’s Home is a favorite stop for the group explaining, “We could stay all night and sing – they are the most appreciative and happiest audience.”
Foley Road brought their unique style of Celtic music to the same enthusiastic crowd a week later. Refreshments included traditional Irish coffee prepared by Sr. Agatha, enjoyed with exclamations of “Slainte!” (Good health!)
By the time March 17 arrived there was no slackening of enthusiasm as residents, staff, volunteers and visitors enjoyed the “wearing of the green” and a traditional meal of corned beef and cabbage followed by Busken’s shamrock cookies.
To all of those who visit us throughout the year and help fill our Home with joy –
thank you and “Dia dhuit!” (God be with you!”)
Slainte! Dia dhuit!
