We really do have some fantastic folks working for us here at St. Paul’s Home. Each and every November, we set aside an evening to honor our staff with a dinner, awards, and dancing! Our long-time employees get recognized for their service and dedication in 5-year increments. We have quite a lot of staff who have been here 20, 25, and even 30+ years!
One of those 30+ year staffers is Neal Hafertepe, who received the Jeanne Jugan Award this year. The Jeanne Jugan Award is given to a staff member who was nominated by one or more of their peers for their dedication in contributing to the work and mission of Saint Jeanne Jugan – for whom the award is named. A committee goes over all the letters from each home with a fine tooth comb, looking for the best staff member. Neal has been working in Maintenance for over 30 years, working his way up from assistant to supervisor. To Neal – work is not work – it is taking care of his family – so strong are his ties to the mission of Saint Jeanne Jugan. He is definitely appreciated – Jeanne Jugan would certainly recognize him as one of her own!
What wonderful employees we have
