In our home, youth groups from all over the Tri-State come to visit our elderly Residents. This month we had the pleasure of having two high school youth groups. The young people from St. Gertrude’s and Immaculate Heart of Mary are linked together to form one group called “God in Cincy Mission.” They strive to ‘serve as Christ in any capacity.’ We were delighted to be one of their many mission sites. Their week included many daily activities in our home. Happily they served lunch, washed our bus, and assisted the Residents in a baking activity, played board games and jumbo poker, and hosted an ice cream social. The smiles were endless, and it was great joy to see the young and the old sharing with one another.
